Quail Ridge Pocket Beagles

Announcement: In April 2021, we MOVED to May, TX (about 2.5 hrs NW of Salado; 1.5 hrs SE of Abilene). We look forward to seeing our new families at our new location!

Our Story

We love the smaller, pocket-sized beagle and were thrilled to get 2 mating pairs in 2015 that produced one litter of eight and another litter of five. In 2016 we paired one of our males with our third female which produced a healthy litter of seven in April. We had no still births and every puppy was beautiful, playful, and ready for a loving home. In 2020, we realized that our passion for beagles have outgrown our location in Salado, Texas, so we began looking for a larger property. In 2021, we relocated to 80 acres, in May, TX, 25 minutes NNE from Brownwood. We immediately began construction on a stand-alone, off-grid capable facility designed and engineered exclusively for our beagles. Scheduled completion of the beagle barn will be summer of 2024! Upon completion, this kennel will be the most sophisticated, storm resistant, self-sustained canine facility in the United States!

We feel that naming a puppy is a very personal experience.  For that reason, we use color-coded collars to identify puppies for reservations.  Putting a name on these little guys is very personal and we leave that to the new owners.  We would love to know the name you pick for your puppy, especially during the adoption process.  As soon as you let us know your puppies name, we update their photo immediately!

Quail Ridge Pocket Beagle Ranch:

Quail Ridge Pocket Beagle Ranch has relocated to Brown County, Texas. Our ranch is nestled in a large open valley surrounded by five plateaus in West Texas.  There is abundant woodland, wide open farmland and a wide variety of wildlife that is prolific in the region.  Quail Ridge Pocket Beagle Ranch is set on 80 beautiful acres which we farm for our cattle. We are about 26 miles NNE of the local town of Brownwood, Texas.  The ranch is two hours 45 minutes SSW of Fort Worth, 1.5 hrs SSE of Abilene, and 3 hrs NNW of Austin, TX.

These municipalities all support national and international airports with easy access to all of Central Texas. The climate here is ideally suited to the outdoor life that beagles love, and is conducive to successful breeding!

Quail Ridge Pocket Beagle Ranch History:

Our new location in Brown County has been a blessing to us and our animals. We opted to keep our name, “Quail Ridge,” because our ranch is actually located on a elevated plane between two nature preserves with abundant wildlife. Our acreage is located in a valley that offers beautiful views of natural plateaus and offers rich, fertile dirt to grow our own hay for our livestock. We look forward to your visit. We want to encourage you to bring your entire family! We are open year round for your convenience.
